This Cookie Policy explains how ZYNTHIO LTD (company number SC873700) uses cookies, browser storage and similar technologies on our websites at zynthio.co.uk and zynthio.com and within the Zynthio platform. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.

Strictly necessary technologies are used without consent because the Service cannot work without them. Everything else — currently analytics only — is used only if you consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Continuing to browse is not treated as consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time (see section 10).

In short: the Zynthio web application itself does not set any first-party cookies. It keeps you signed in using browser local storage, which is strictly necessary for the Service to function. The only cookies set on our websites are analytics cookies from Google Analytics, and only after you accept them. The Zynthio mobile apps set no cookies and run no analytics at all.

These are essential for the Service to work. Without them you cannot sign in or use the Platform. They are exempt from the consent requirement under regulation 6(4) of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Zynthio implements these as browser local storage entries, not cookies — the data stays on your device and is read by the application, rather than being sent automatically with every request.

We use Google Analytics 4 on our public website to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site. These cookies are set only if you select "Accept all" on the cookie banner. If you decline, Google Analytics runs in a restricted "consent denied" mode in which no analytics cookies are written and no identifiers are stored on your device. IP anonymisation is enabled.

These remember your preferences. They are stored locally on your device.

We do not use marketing, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not share data with advertising networks. If this changes we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

The Zynthio iOS and Android apps do not set cookies and do not load Google Analytics or any other tracking technology. No cookie banner is shown in the apps because there is nothing to consent to. The apps use device storage for the sign-in token and preferences described in 4.1 and 4.3, and, if you enable notifications, a push token as described in section 8.

Local storage is not transmitted to our servers automatically with each request. It remains on your device until you sign out or clear your browser data. The same consent rules apply to it as to cookies: we only use it without consent where it is strictly necessary to deliver the Service you asked for.

Our emails are sent through Twilio SendGrid. Marketing emails may contain a small tracking image or tagged link that tells us whether the message was opened and whether a link was clicked, so we can measure whether our communications are useful. You can prevent this by disabling remote image loading in your email client, or by unsubscribing.

Operational messages — password resets, task reminders, alerts, invoices and security notices — may carry delivery tracking so we can confirm they arrived, but are not used for marketing measurement.

To change or withdraw your choice, clear the site data for zynthio.co.uk in your browser settings (this removes the stored cookieConsent entry) and the banner will appear again on your next visit. You can also email us at hello@zynthio.co.uk and we will action your request. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.
